FIRST TIME OFFERING: SHEPPARD FARM AG CAMP
$200 per camper
July 8 & 9 for ages 9-14; 8:30 to 12pm

Join the Sheppard Farm Team for a 2 day morning Agricultural Camp designed for kids 9-11 years olds OR 12-14 year olds. This camp will be taught by industry professionals and experts, sharing their knowledge with the children about one of the foundations for Farm Life and all life, WATER!

Your child will start with a Hayride into the Fold where we conduct an overview of the Farm life from grass to animal. They will then come back to the Main Farm to begin their study of water: the basis for all life. Using microscopes, campers will study types of available water: clean trough, dirty trough and mud puddle. They will analyze the microorganisms found within the water. They will then discuss how water moves through the soil and ground water systems. Campers will also have breaks for snack from home, decorate their seed pots, and tie-dye shirts.

Day two will be an animal exploration! Hal Mack from Dawg Gone Bees will join our campers! He will talk about BEES and how water effects honey production, looking at honey under microscopes. Campers will then learn about Poultry, sheep, equine and bovine health as it pertains to the effects of water quality. They will be hands on with these animals (excluding live sheep). Campers will also have breaks for snack from home, plant their seed pots, and tie-dye shirts.

9-14 year old session, July 8 & 9. 8:30a-12pm each day; BOOK HERE
